Hi! In case you missed the last post - like, nearly 2 months ago - I'm pregnant. Woo hoo!
We're now at 22 weeks, and I can still see my toes. Barely.
They're down there somewhere. At least they are a cute summer turquoise color.
And I probably shouldn't mention the gymnastics it took me to pick all those papers back up off the floor.
According to the internet, the little bean is 11 inches long and weighs about a pound. That's the length of a spaghetti squash and the weight of a pomegranate. For those of you who prefer the fruit and veggie similes.
And if you were confused by the room label stickers and paint swatches, it's a hint that there's other big news on the horizon - we bought a house!
Told ya we were busy.
Here's a photo of the front of it, from the realtor website.
Yes, those are 6 palm trees in the front yard. And there's a veritable orchard in the back: 2 avocado trees, 2 fig trees, 1 lemon tree, 1 orange tree, 1 green plum tree, 1 half nectarine/half purple plum tree, and a few unknowns. Tossed in for good measure.
I cannot WAIT to move in.
And, obviously, I'm spending much of my time nowadays looking at paint colors and plotting where our furniture will go.
Oh, and packing.
And pretending like I still have some semblance of sanity.
Things I've been eating recently:
Cheese - lots of it, in all forms (except goat cheese. eww.)
Chocolate milkshakes - sans bourbon, small servings, & often (Baby wants calcium to grow strong bones - or at least that's what I'm telling myself)
Emergency Cookies - I may or may not have made Mr. S go on a late night chocolate chip run cause we were out. He brought home 4 bags of assorted types. He's a keeper.
Kale chips - sometimes fancy, sometimes plain
Roast Chicken
Brussels sprout & chickpea pasta
Strawberries
Watermelon
Non-alcoholic beer
Chick-fil-a sandwiches - just the sandwich. And a milkshake (see #2 above).

LOVE that belly picture! And I'm more than a little jealous of those fruit trees in your back yard. ;) Congrats on the house and your growing spaghetti squash!
